D SERPENT
The Serpent for Baroque music.
The fundamental note of this Serpent is D. The A is tuned to 415Hz.
Attempts to tune my Serpent in C with longer or shorter crooks in order to obtain the baroque tonality have been unsatisfactory. Patrick Wibart came to me with the idea of realizing a D-Serpent.
Although this solution requires a second instrument, it is good in every respect.
